Privacy Policy

Thank you for visiting and using (our "Site"). We appreciate the opportunity to interact with you and are committed to protecting and safeguarding your privacy. The purpose of this Privacy Statement is to inform you about our background, the types of information we MIGHT collect you you visit our Site, how we MIGHT use that information and whether we disclose that information to a 3rd Party.

As a California based Consumer Protection organization that has been involved in the passage, defeat and enactment of privacy legislation protecting consumers, we have a simple and straight forward privacy policy – we protect consumer’s and their privacy 100%. The information you provide us is private and for our eyes only. As such, we never sell any information, to anyone – EVER.

Let’s face it, cookies are a way of life. A cookie is a software program that is undefined legally. We define it as ‘software that we place on your computer to help utilize or undertake our websites functionality. The good thing about our Cookies is this: not only are they encrypted to protect your sensitive information, but more importantly, they are small and only usable by our Site and program(s). For the record, much of that information is “pulled” from your computers ‘system’.

So, what do we collect and how is it used?
To start, as outlined in the Background section, we protect your privacy – 100%. As such, any and all information we collect on our Site is privileged, no matter what type is collected. Generally speaking, the information being collecting is referred to by many in the industry as “Personal Identifiable Information”.

Personally Identifiable Information: This term refers to information that lets us know specifically who you are and what you have been doing on the Site. In general, you can visit our Site without telling us who you are or revealing any Personally Identifiable Information, but once you use the site and it’s functionality, we need to collect information – sorry, but we have no choice – after all, we want to help you communicate with people in positions of power, and if you send a letter to someone, there is no question about it, but it must be done professionally. As such, we not only restrict the use of 7 swear words, but must require that return address information be supplied to not only validate the letter, but so the person whom you are sending it to can respond to it.
As such, when you fill out one of our products or services (Letters), we collect Personally Identifiable Information, including your name and contact information. In instances when a donation is being made, or you request specialized service(s) that cost money, we will either accept PayPal (suggested) or some other form of online payment. Currently, we do not accept credit cards, except through our PayPal account. As expected, this information is considered private and will never be distributed by us to anyone, at any time – of course, other than to collect payment related information relative to our services. As you can expect, we use this information to deliver your order, process payment, and to communicate with you about the status of your order. Credit card information submitted with your order is used only for payment processing and is not retained on our Site. Finally, you may request that your order be shipped through a common carrier of your choice. Because of this, we may be required to send letters for you and as such, may have to share certain information with said respective carrier for delivery purposes only.

Sharing Your Information
As mentioned above, in no way shape or manner do we sell, trade, rent, or otherwise retransmit any Personally Identifiable Information to anyone – period – unless we have your permission, in writing, in advance. Any Personally Identifiable Information you provide to us will be used for your purchases and retained in hard copy form of the original invoice as well as within our database system, which generates our invoices.
From time to time, we may be required to provide Personally Identifiable Information in response to court order, subpoena, or government investigation. We also reserve the right to report to law enforcement agencies any activities that we in good faith believe to be unlawful. We may release Personally Identifiable Information when we believe that such release is reasonably necessary to enforce or apply our Limited Warranty or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others and ourselves.

From time to time, our Site will be supplying you with links to third-party Web sites. These are being provided to you solely for your information and convenience, or to provide additional information for various other goods and services. The presentation of links on our site does not constitute an endorsement of any type, unless we specifically state this on said given page. If you use these links, we want to make it clear that you will be leaving our Site, and that this Privacy Statement does not cover the information practices of those Web sites linked to our Site, nor do we control their content or privacy policies.
